MEET ALEX THOMAS
An effective advocate both in and out of the classroom.

A lifelong resident of West Memphis, Alex Thomas grew up on Arlington Drive, in a neighborhood where everyone knew each other and lasting friendships began. She attended Richland Elementary and West Memphis High School, where she was involved in a range of activities from volleyball to choir. After an unexpected family tragedy brought her home from the University of Arkansas, she adopted her dog Gram and returned to school to finished her degree. In 2021, she married Caleb and, while studying for her Master’s in special education, began teaching at the Academies of West Memphis. Today, Alex is a special education teacher, a mom to Mason, and a fierce advocate for her students, a quality she intends to bring to the role of Justice of the Peace.

In this role, she will fight for a Quorum Court that works for all of its constituents. She will support safe, functional, and dependable public services; preventative maintenance on aging infrastructure; ongoing planning and budgeting; and transparent communication. She will be honest, reliable, and effective. Most importantly, she will be accountable to you.
